I likhet med maskiner har Necrons maksimal lederskap på tvers av alle enheter, men beveger seg også relativt sakte utenfor transportmidler. Necrons har ingen psykiske krefter, hvilket gjør dem sårbare for psykiske angrep.
Necrons er en gammelt rase av skjelettlignende roboter. For millioner av år siden var de vesener av kjøtt og blod, og de overførte sine sinntili robotlegemer for å oppnå udødelighet.
